Man Bags, Curated
A while back, I got a little motivated and joined a gym with towel service. It was located near my work, and was fairly convenient despite the fact that I had to shlep my clothes and toiletries in a bag, thus further beleaguering an already cumbersome public transit commute. Like most things, it didn’t take long for this to get old. The gym bags I had were either to big or to small, and one morning I forgot a key garment undergarment (namely my bra). My drive started to wain, as it always does when treadmills and stationary bikes are involved, and I convinced myself that all I needed to get me motivated to go to the gym again was The Perfect Bag. A mid-sized canvas man-bag was the one, so i went to the internet to seek one out.
In the end, every beautiful bag I found was out of my price range and I stopped going to the gym. But perhaps you can benefit from my research, which came in handy for me tonight when I did some last minute internet shopping for the holidays. I combed the market, and here are the highlights.

1. Wm. J. Mills & Co, Classic Duck Duffel Bag. Old School canvas bags, with customizable canvas and trim color combinations! The Office Bag is pretty awsome as well. Made in the USA!
2. Mt Rainer Design. I found this on a blog, but couldn’t find anyplace in the US that sells it. The company also makes some awsome rain jackets.
3. Jack Spade. Of course.
4. Fjallraven, Kanken. Scandinavian daypacks, weighting in at 0.64 lbs.
5. The Herschel Supply Co Brand Duffel Bag. I could not find the duffel bags on their website, but their backpacks are a classic. Lovely shoe compartment.
6. Apolis, Heritage Leather + Apolis Mason Bag. A beautiful, heavy duty bag. Love the hinged opening that allows for easy content viewing. Made in the USA!
7. Newbark, Two Tone Leather Tote. Love the color blocking and interior pocket division (though technically this is one is not a man bag).
